Fired it up last night, still cut at 25K then realised I had fitted the fuel valve plug on the gas valve pins

after correcting that he fired up perfect.
My big concern with getting the starter alignment perfect was to stop it jamming on the turbine nut and effectivily becoming a generator and blowing the ecu.
Then I realised when looking through the ecu manual, the ecu shuts the power to the motor (at 30k in my case) and then applies a brake (reverse) so that would release it from the spinner cone, so long of course that the starter is the correct distance back.
