My apologies, Winpattern. I was thinking of idle down which is only effective below a certain point.
For the heli pilots this is crucial due to how the idle ups and such work. they MUST be able to set a trigger point. For aircraft pilots, even if you bump it when above idle, it has only a very minor effect and therefore won't likely kill your engine.
