RE: Formula Fastech Brushless
well my buddie has run his fasttec 3 times now, and as his mechanic i am ready to make some input. the driveshaft is a pain in the a@#. i have a hughly .150 shaft comming that will eliminate the stub-shaft set up (make it simple like the super-vee). the hull is flimisy, his came chipped at the nose, and there is no way the windshield, steering wheel and swim step would hold up to my abuse (fliping at speed) for more that a week. another issue is the steering, it didn't turn out of the box, moving the linkage at both the servo and rudder helped, but it still wallows like a mini-rio. i am going to try to bend the turn fins about 15 degrees outward. at the pond i didnt have a vise but the 2-3 degrees i could bend them helped. the only thing i like about this boat is the motor and esc. my money would go to a super-vee. the funniest thing about this boat is that I OUT-RAN THE FORMULA WITH MY BRUSHLESS MINI RIO! my mini is fast, but that would never happen to our super-vee's....
any tips on handling are apreaciated....
