RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build
A lot of scale tail draggers do not have the main gear foreward far enough and tend to nose over on the runway. I found that with the Gold Edition P51. I used photos of the full size to figure out where the axle should be. Ended up tilting the wheels forward about 1/2" to be at the leading edge or ahead of the leading edge. As it came out of the box, it was behind the leading edge. Taking off from pavement may be OK, but grass field would be a problem.
I would hope that the plan CG would be close... these are pretty old kits.
