RE: Formula Fastech Brushless
I've been trying to decide on the supervee27 or the fastech and just about decided on the supervee. I'm returning to boating after about a 20 year hiatus. My last boat I still have is an old Sea Master II. I've been into crawlers for a number of years now but my son now 10, wants to get into the rc boats.
I picked up the Proboat esc for my SM and am totally disappointed with it - we got 2 runs, 2 batteries and the esc took a crap.
I called Proboat and they told me it's not a problem, send it back and they'll just replace it. This is enough to send me to the supervee. I dont want to buy a boat that has elecs in it that I already dont like. I dont care for the radio on either of them, and that will get swapped out for an RS310XS3 Pro combo which is just sitting on the bench waiting for the boat.
But I posted this because when I called Proboat today I asked one of the reps what he knows about the fastech.....not in so many words he suggested waiting on this boat or looking at something else. He didn't come right out and say that - he agreed with me when I suggested waiting, and also agreed with me when I mentioned the supervee seems to be pretty dependable.... I guess I can translate whatever I want outa that, but to me it's a big NO on the fastech.
