Thanks for the info. I never thought of a large sporting good store. I have a Cabelas about sixty miles west of me if all else fails.
I too have a couple of big biplanes (see my profile albums) One of them is a Fleet biplane and for the flying wires I used silver lacing from Hobby Lobby store. It is streamline in shape and I epoxyed it into quick links as it streaches a little and looks close enough like real flying wires.
