I have searched old threads and I am still confused. First of all I am new to this so I have an idea about things but dont fully understand some things. I am about to order a Hyper 8.5 Pro kit with a Hyper .21 8 port race engine with rear exhaust, Futaba 3PM Trans/Rec, Hitec HSC-5998 Titanium Gear Ultra Torque Servo S. What throttle servo would I need for this set up and if I am missing anything what else do I need to have it running once put together. I am not racing but will in the future thats why I went with the pro kit.
If you are going to race, then i recommend you waiting untill all the nines come out (hyper 9, inferno MP9, losi nine, etc). For throttle/braking you wanna something fast, so since you will buy a hitec servo, then go and get the 5965, it has .10 speed at 6 volts and somewhere 131 oz/inc torque. As a beginner is a very good starting kit, don't listen the others of buying a cheap buggy and you then see. If you will buy and stay to that, then buy something GOOD, not CRAP.
Better buying a crap engine with a good kit and then just replace the engine, just like you will do
The KIT is ok you chosen, i can't thing something better at that price, go for it
