Do you remember when there was no TV and everybody in the family would gather around the radio after supper and listen to the comics of the time tell their jokes, or listening to the dramas of the day like Innersanktum and Gangbusters and the like.
Or you could go to the movies on saturday afternoons and watch two features and cartoons and at itermission they would giveaway stuff like dishes and bikes and other stuff, air raids wee fun around here because they would drop small bags of flour out of planes, never did find out if it was for practice our to keep us off the street during the air raid period.
Don't get me started on what it was like back then or you will never get me turned off.

The best, there was a small dirt runway airport about two miles from our house and they flew pipercubs and tripacers and a couple of biplanes out of there and if you hung around there on weekends the owner would take you up nowand then, that was fun.
