Here is my recoil. It has a Neu 1105/2y which is 5200kv. I should have (and will in future) gotten a 9200kv motor. This thing ripped up the stock tires and it could drift with them. I could do wicked donuts in the street and drift around corners. Once these tires go out (soon) I will put cellular abs on the rims and buy a set of foams for racing. 1.5" abs from my past spudgun fits the recoil (and tailwhip) rims perfectly.

It has a 20t pinion, goes 40mph, and can still drift at all speeds! Neu motors are perfect for drifting imo. TONS of torque. Even the higher kv ones are torque monsters. Gearing is 20/58... I THINK stock is around 13/58.
