I was told the reason why most use plastic spur gears were so it acts as a weak link in the drive train ie weak link as not breaking more parts etc
If running metal spurs i could imagine going thro alot of metal pinion gears too an they would wear down faster when running low turn mod motors.

@ bunny enjoy those upgrades m8 my first motor upgrade was down to a 21 turn motor u will notice alot more speed and power and that propshaft was a good move as the standard would flex too much under a 21 turn,never used foams yet but for racing heard there the best to use on indoor carpet racing etc.
