RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Thanks Chopper......
Flew both the HBK and the 400 with canopies this evening with the ambient temperature in the mid 90's.
I had cut the two slots in the forward lower section of the canopy of the HBK and they proved effective in that the "out of the machine" condition of the battery was nowhere near what it was before....or, at least, it seemed that way. Battery not swollen, motor was cool and the speed control was barely warm.
The 400 battery temperature seemed much the same.
Must see if I can grab the company's IR pyrometer for a couple of days.
Dude friend had the WIG on the lake this afternoon....pitch problems. She got into that pitch ogee curve again....climb and swoop over and over. I suggested he back off on the throttle even more which he reluctantly did and she softened up. She was peaking at about 24" altitude and way above that ground effect "layer" but once she was at about 6 to 9" she was much better....gotta get some photos before he piles her up.
Sun is going down and telescope needs to go out.
