As far as seeing Saturn or Jupiter you need magnification for a start and I doubt you'll get anything to satisfy what you're expecting for the price you mention.
I would look at a refracting scope as opposed to a mirror type. Orion has some nice assemblies and eyepieces are not too pricey. Weakest part of these sets is the mount.
As I mentioned, the Meade mount was rubbish, so I bought a new Celestron one two years ago and it alone cost near a grand but it does hold the scope good and steady....the tripod legs are made fron 1 1/2" steel tube for exceptional rigidity. Most "lightweight" mounts will hold the scope assembly above the ground but their rigidity is questionable.
Lemmee know what you get but please don't expect too much from these types of deals....sometimes the marketing is better than the product.
Really, check out oriontelescopes....they sell nice stuff of pretty good quality at "warehouse" prices. Yes, some things may be Chinese but the optics manufacturing industry at the mass prodction level is very good so the quality for dollar is great although the initial cost may still be a little high.
There are some very nice Russian and German 'scopes available too.
Similar to helicopters.......!!!!!
