Default Flying jets in Canada - Read this first!

AMA members planning on flying jets in Canada need to be aware that there is a reciprical agreement between the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) and the AMA.
This agreeement provides that where there are differences in the regulations between the two countries, the more stringent of the two will be in force. http://www.maac.ca/docs/2007/maacama_agreement2008.pdf

For US flyers, if you plan to fly jets in Canada, this means the following:
-you must have a valid AMA turbine waiver
-the 200 mph max speed limit is in force
-the 55 lb weight limit is in force.
Additionally, you must fly with a spotter at all times

Apparently this has not been widely communicated in the past. We need everyone to be aware of these requirements and observe the limits so that we can all continue enjoying flying jets on both sides of the border.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation
