You made one of the 2 choices you had the paper or wood template you can use either one. 1/4 inch bolts are fine will be no problem I would use nylon locknuts on the back if you have not done so a little extra insurance never hurts there. get some thin CA and go over ALL the joints you can get to!!! As far as throws yeah 25 degrees is plenty
