Default 3.2 Twin fuel problems

I have a 3.2 twin that I am having problems with: If takes forever to prime, then with the needles set it will start run about 1-2 sec and die. It you mess around with the needle settings and set the low end a 3 turns out and the high end at 1-3/4 turns it will start with a high throttle setting and run rich on the top end and die as soon as you pull the throttle down. If you try to set the high end so it’s not rich you have to turn the needle in to about 1 turn out, but it will die as soon as you pull back on the throttle. I have replaced all the fuel line, replaced all the gaskets between the carb, reed block and case. I have replaced everything in the carb 2 times just in case anything in the first rebuild kit was bad. (Also everything in the carb was replaced midsummer last year and worked fine till I sent the engine back to have the crank replaced in November. I do not see any crap in the carb and have blown the carb out and sprayed cleaner through all the jets and nothing looks plugged. Any ideals what else it could be???? I paid a lot of $$$ for this engine and just paid $150 to have the crank replaced and would like to get it running.

Thanks,

Charles
