Default RE: New guy, old plane, new question

Dorsal,

Thanks for the reply. I may add more cells to the pack once I have successfully flown and returned to earth with a re-usable plane, which is my first goal!!

On the wing; the original break was to the spar at the point where the steel joiner enters the center of the wing. Back then, I re-epoxied the spar and epoxied a piece of hobby plywood over the area to provide support. The steel joiner is about 8" long, so 4" goes into each half of the wing. That has been re-covered (old repair, didn't know any better). I guess at this point I'm wondering if I should do anything EXTERNALLY like using wing bolts or something like a strut to keep the wing from folding UP when it flies. I've never used fiberglass, so if I did, I'd have to uncover the area and follow your directions.

Have I messed up, and should I go back and do new surgery?

Thanks again for your kind reply.
