RE: Phoenix Dolphin 40 wooden push rods
Thanks.....I just installed the rudder push rod and had to deflect a little at the threaded end and it works fine. It really didn't take much to get it to work right.
I know you have to get the tubes to stay in place and I think I could do it from behind the servo tray. But the wooden rods are going to work out. I just thought "someone has had to install these before....and if they can do it, I can do it" LOL!
Now I have to do the elevator. I installed all the servos and checked the radio out. I am getting done too fast. I dont think I'll be ready to fly it. I would like to burn a few more gallons through my superstar before I take off with the Dolphin.
Did you get your Dolphin yet?
I love this hobby! I raced RC cars for 20 years (Dirt Oval Nitro, Asphalt and Carpet Oval 10th & 12th scale electric) and loved it...and still do. But the rush from flying is incredible! I am wearing out the Superstar, but the manuvers it is capable of is limmited and I am getting kinda bored with it. It only has an OS LA .40 in it. Flys OK but not alot of power. I think it was probaly a good thing too.
The only complaint I have about mine is the guy was loose in the canopy...so I had to take the canopy off and glue him down. But it was not much trouble. I had to buy some trim tape, but no big deal.
