Here is my 4th PBF. It has a .049 engine and sub micro servos. I think it weighs 8 or 9 ozs RTF. A regular Cox .049 has just enough ooomph to hover it and it will fly great with just 2 channels and the rudder tied off.
Set up like in the photos with a more powerful engine and 4 channels makes it the most aerobatic 1/2A plane I've flown.
The frame work is 1/4"x1/4" balsa sticks and all the places where the sticks meet were doweled with toothpicks. The elevons and rudder are rigged with Spiderline fishing line.
IIRC, it is about 18"x18" total.
