Yes, both right really. Voltage at charger will be slight higher than battery and be more different as the current and rersistance of leads/connections goes up. For the elite they might as well be considered equal.

It may be usefull to verify cell count, to see how close the battery is to full, verify the charger is chargeing, ect. Next to worthless info at times. []
