Default RE: SPA Planes

ORIGINAL: avlwilsons

For a long time I've wanted to see a Blue Angel, or generic reproduction like the SBA I used to fly back in the mid-80s. It was a gorgeous plane, flew very well and was quite forgiving, (translated easy to fly). This allows you to concentrate on the maneuver rather than basic flying.

The fact there are currently two build threads in progress, (one goes back many months), shows the level of interest in this plane. I don't know the legalities of who owns the rights to it, (like the Curare which was also has a "knock-off" that used to be sold by Mutchler's Hobbies,(sp), and is now produced by a certain Alabama manufacturer), but I am quite certain the plane would be a big success. It was designed toward the end of the SPA "time window" similar to the Dirty Birdy.

Tell me what you think?

Duane

In my opinion, the Blue Angel is a beautiful aircraft but I can’t visualize it as a SPA aircraft with modifications.
