I saw the demonstration and thrust vectoring is very impressive. Hovering is not for me but the control at 50 to 100 feet altitude was very effective. The tailpipe is on a gimbal and controlled by two servos. The tailpipe did not appear to be a solid connection to the turbine. I thought the setup was very clever and the pilot was indeed talented.
