Default RE: YA P40E (What is your plane's weight??)

I think there are a few others out here that will answer your questions better thanI can, as they have done a lot of bashing to this kit. But I will give you my info to add to the mix. I am on my second P40 from yellow.
one was 26, the other 26.5 pounds
wing weight was about 1/3, (a guess) thats Gear too
I have a fuji 64 in the nose
take offs have a bit of yaw, rudder rudder rudder, and to me it flies heavy. But I have flown mostly light and smaller planes. By saying heavy, I mean its sort of like a warbird should feel, smooth and not jumpy. And I try to keep the landing speed up a bit.
I did not glass either of them. Just monokote.
I guess the max weight is a question I could not really answer. I like the way mine flies, but I have never had an over weight plane, so I have nothing to compare it too. sorry if this is not much help. But there are a few threads that show great detail of the mods that they are doing. I think you have a great kit to start with. Keep us posted with the build. Jeff
