Yes, I was/am a bit offended by the negative attitude of your posts, and no, there is no upgrade possiblilty, unless you consider keeping crank and conrod only whist exchanging all the rest as an upgrade.
The 40 engine was a result from the 35 not being an established engine class, and the overly sturdy design, which resulted in a relative heavy engine. An extra weight that many complained about, except the users of the engine.
I personally complained to MVVS because they adhered to relatively long stroke designs, that results in heavier engines.
So they bored out the case, fitted a larger bore liner, and upgraded the engine into the well established 40cc class.
This resulted in more power in a lighter package.
