The answer is yes and no on the layout. Because the exhaust port is located in line with the engine, I marked the location and size on the paper then cut it out. Taped the templatemto the fuse and slid the cowl on over top of the paper. Using a marker, marked the inside of the cowl and removed. Marked the approx center of the opening on the inside and made a pilot hole to fit Dremel small sanding drum. Very slowly made opening larger and slide cowl back on to make opening as large as I needed.
