I think you are right about the canopy glue…it is probably too old. A tech from Pacer called me and said the same. I told him it would be nice if they noted that on the label.
Yes CA is unforgiving and hard to deal especially with on a long piece like the turtle deck. It’s probably why they recommend canopy glue. And I too have had a lot of fun with CA…I now buy the extra larger 10 oz bottle of CA Debonder from Sig.
I thought about using epoxy but not sure. It’s easy to clean up with alcohol.
I did an experiment with Elmer’s Wood glue today. I glued a scrape piece of plastic to the monokote on a stabilizer from a wrecked plane. I left the experiment in the sun…it was over 100 today. I just checked it and it’s still together. I think that’s the answer to my question…Elmer Wood glue.
