find a good driver, watch what he does, watch were he slams on the brakes, were he slids through the turn were he takes it slow, where he gun is and goes all out.

if you can during the race get behind him and follow. pretty soon you will start to get the feel for the racing line, were the brakeing zones are, and what speed you need to enter what turn at.

also try to befriend him, ask him if he wants to share some tips, what gearing he recomends for the track and why. If he seems like he doesnt want to talk back off, but if he talks keep him talking. ask him why you would take this turn at that speed, etc etc. some people like to share info and you can learn alot from them.
