CP, you hit the nail on the head!

As far as I know there is not a similar event over here. While the Euro Speed Cup is all about speed, there are too many rules and stuff. This is just a rally where people show up and have fun with speed as the goal.[sm=bananahead.gif]

We are going to go to open flying after all the radar runs are in the books along with some instructor flights. We thought this would be a good way to ease into a full speed event. If the turnout is as good or better than expected we will do a total speed rally next time out.

Yes, my CG is about .5" aft of the recomended aft limit. It could most likely even be a little further back but the lead is more of a problem than take off attitude. I did'nt need any elevator trim at all, so I think I got it pretty spot on. I also kicked up the elevator throw a bit more than I thought I would need, hence my thoughts that it could use a little bit more rearward CG.
My buddy has his set at 6.37 and it flies/lands just as sweet as mine.
