andermac,

If you go to the [link=http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmart.exe/MainMenuFV4.html?E+Sig]Sig homepage[/link], on the right are some pictures of their trainers. Press the link for “Next Cat” just above the pictures and the Kavalier should be the second plane down.

Before you get much further into looking into what trainer, radio, engine, etc. to get, find a club and talk to somebody there. Hopefully you’ll be able to hook up with an instructor and he’ll be able to guide you to a suitable trainer. Some clubs have a preference on the trainer they like, and the only way to know for sure is to talk with somebody there. Some clubs have a club trainer you can start training on (my club here in Wichita does, and I’m the one who does a lot of the flight training). They may also know of somebody selling a trainer for a good price.

Here’s the info I found on the [link=http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx]AMA Chartered Club locator[/link] for Lamar, Ar.

[link=http://rivervalleyrcclub.com/default.aspx]River Valley RC Club[/link]

Contact: RON FOLLIS (you can get his e-mail address from the AMA locator link)

Hope this helps get you going in the right direction with you future flying, and eventually getting that Kavalier back up flying like it belongs.
