Bobs,

Here's a nice addition/upgrade. Hellicommand... Our friend, Fossoman sent me a PM on it... Kinda pricey. But pretty darn cool.

I checked it out and it's amazing, and equally expensive ($500USD). The dig is, it CANNOT be used in a digital radio system if I read it right (DX7/6 or others). It has to be analog input to function. The guy flew it a few inches off the deck in the ground effect and it held it's position rather well. I was totally impressed but I'm not in a position to buy such an expensive piece of equipment.

A note on the scalers in their flight personalities. I have noticed that Ricks Ranger and mine as well have a tendancy to fly a tad nose up (tail heavy), yet I run a CG check....it's fine, perfectly balanced. When I go into forward flight....it'll go a ways and flare out, and decend. I have to be more precise/agressive on the throttle increase as I move the elevator stick forward to maintain forward flight and achieve straight and level flight without the flare after a short distance. With some altitude and speed, it becomes less noticable, but you still got to have a handle on the throttle and elevator. I'm NOT sure, but I think I'm experiencing close to REAL scale flight characteristics because I've never had this happen on a stock bird. The fact that the horizontal stabs are non-moveable on models, but move on the real ones may affect flight substantally on the models. This LOH Ranger I built is by FAR the best scaler I've ever built, and it flies AWSOME. I knew when I opened the kit, it would be a very good scaler if I did my part and built it correctly.
