I guess they figured the wings were bent already any way, so what would it hurt .... ( seriously tho , that sucks man.) as some one who used to load trucks for over the road thats the classic look of a box that got loaded on the botom of a stack. we used to use boxes of somthing called department 56 to fill out the tops of loads to make a truck as full as possible , thoes boxes got crammed into every nook and cranny to make every thing fit like a big jigsaw puzzle, you can't imagine my horror when I found out what department 56 actually was... its the little ceramic snow villages and the like. I shudder to think of how many little lighted buildings I turned into broken bits of ceramic rubble just trying to fill up a trailer.
I've seen antique rifles that the stocks which are almost non-existant broke right in two by UPS. I don't use UPS for anything and if given the choice by a vendor, UPS is NOT an option. I sent those 8 pictures to Tower Hobbies...maybe they'll re-think their shipper. One pic shows a mark of something REAL heavy placed on the box (maybe a 10hp DC motor weighing 120#). Tower immediately shipped another after the call I made....hope they didn't use UPS.
