Default Extending LEDs to outside on Spektrum/JR 2.4Ghz receivers?

Hi all,
I'm considering ways to get the LEDs visible from all 2-4 receivers on the JR921/Spektrum9000 receivers. I was considering buying a lightguide/fiberoptic cable of some sort and just letting the ends from all 4 (in the case of my extra) extend just out the side of the body so I can see all the lights without disassembling the airplane. I'd be so much happier seeing those all glowing before I left the ground knowing I have good signal to all receivers before I left the ground and could see if I had any major signal loss issues after landing. Eventually I'll get the data recorder but just by seeing the lights I could more easily rebind if I wanted, watch for the flashing warning that tells you that there was a signal loss etc... I could extend them right to the control panel and it would look way cool. Anyone know of a cheap source for this type of cable or something that would work as well??? Just a thought.
