Shaped around the bottle, couple of holes drilled, and then some electrical tape taped around the nalgene bottle and stainless "strapping"??? I would think that would hold really well.

Just a thought. You could bend the stainless with some flat jaws and make a really good mount similar to how we mount our turbines.
