RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)
The DA-50 is solid as a rock and Desert Aircraft has been around a while and will probably be there when your engine needs service. As or weight, you will need to add weight to the nose if this engine is lighter than the DA-50 because with the DA-50 and everything installed as far forward as possible, I still had to add a slight bit of weight to get the Top Flite ARF Mustang to balance forward of the recommended CG. It is very pitch sensitive at approach speeds when balanced at the manual recommended CG location. Of course if you know someone with the new MT engine and they are well pleased with it's performance, then by all means, go for it if it will save you some money. I do find in the hobby, that you generally get what you pay for.
