Default RE: AMA coverage only good if you have a spotter?

ORIGINAL: jdkxtreme

Has anyone ever had to file a claim? I had one get away from me tonight and went almost a mile down the road before plowing into a garage door of a storage building..What can I expect from the AMA?
I know a guy that cut his thumb off. The AMA picked up much of what his other insurance didn't get (medical bills) and they were easy to work with.
