Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

Ray 'ere,
And I'm not being flippant but the thing to do to make a cp+ into a great flying machine is to get an HBK2.
I spent quite a few hard earned dollars and when she was good she was very, very good. Her size made her a great "flitter".
The 400 requires more room and the Rex even more....more than I have.
I have three trees across the front of my house next to the road and I fly at no more than 8 ft off the deck and the smaller machine gets a good run at it. My pro was excellent but I was never at ease with the tail response. I was running the standard non brushless system and by the time I'd fitted anti rotation and replaced around six motors I got to looking for a machine with a better mechanical layout. What put the last nail in the coffin was the RX going south and the cost of replacing that made it kinda like those few years of Harley Davidson where one hour on the road needed eight hours of shop time.
The HBK2 is a little bigger than the Pro but she is a great "flitter" and about the same cost as a Pro. The flybar control system has much less slop than the Pro and results in more satisfying control.
Now then, having said all that, my CX-2 is a little jewel and will be replaced with another two-rotor when she expires.
Thank heaven for the Daytona prototypes....nighttime race at daytona this eve with excellent commentators.
Did you hear the rumour news that young Dale Jr may try the Aussie V-8 this next season as a guest of Marcus Ambrose who was series champion down-under. Should be interesting. Glad it was Pablo who dealt out the reality check last weekend....hahaha.
Three good flights this eve and batteries are recharging.
Today I paid $4 + a gallon for the first time....is it time to start drilling at home...?
Playing tomorrow evening.....outdoor gig at a house nearby.
My quartet from 7 'till sundown. I'll be playing my Hammond and the Roland keys...dude running the gig at his house is a fine drummer and we have a good bassist and guitarist. Hope I can get someone to video it 'cos I'm going to do my Brian Auger thing. Guitarist's girlfriend is a nice singer so we should have something good goin' on.
My new 450 arrived. The package was destroyed at one end and the UPS dude was quite annoyed when I refused delivery.
My goodies for the HBK2 arrived the following day....no problem.
Battery finished charging so I'm going to turn on the outside lights and fly awhile.
Later gents,
Ray
