KMP beaver
Just picked up a KMP Beaver at the local HS in Orlando fl (bobs) they have just released the smaller electric version 59" span awsome, converting to I.C, engine , composite fus fiberglass reinforced
built up fully sheeted wing ( (wheels not float). It is going to wear my OS32SX with a Davis diesel head, pull/pull cable rudder. I am using hitec mini 225s for rudder and elevator
and 81s for ailerons. plug in wing on a very strong aluminum tube, covering is like Rhino skin, when I made cuts for the servo mount plates in the wing, toughest I have ever seen
Instructions a little iffy, you really have to look at the pictures, but if you have put a few together no issues
They use a ply backup plate inside the rear of the fus to screw the tail wheel plate to NO ACCESS will drill a hole in bottom put a piece of string to the plate and drag to the rear after
squirting some epoxy thru the slots where the stab goes then pull it back and down. STEP ONE do this before gluing in the stab or no access at all
The firewall is 1/4 ply and almost any mount will work just drill and use blind nuts I will use 6/32
This is top notch overall and at $159.95 well worth it , landing gear bolts on to a well built ply structure inside, wing struts are attached with screws into blind nuts both ends
You folks can follow the progress on the diesel site martin
Note glue in some triangle stock at the rear of the fire wall to the body both sides and bottom so not skimp on the epoxy do the diameter is using an engine ( might be a good idea even if left as a brushless electric. I also give all the bulkheads a coat where they join the body this should be done on any ARF to insure intrigrity
