Default Spectrum RX Problems. Please Help!

Hi,
I just purchased a Spectrum AR6000 rx. I also bought a new bl motor and esc. When I attempted to bind the reciver to my DX6 transmitter, following the instructions in the instructions guide, the rx light flashed orange, then when i turned on the tx holding the bind button on the back it flashed green. Then when the button on the back of the tx was still flashing the rx orange light turned off(stopped flashing). Then a few seconds later the light on the bind button turned off. I then let go of it figuring the bind wasa success. Then I turned everything off and removed the bind plug. I then set up the esc into the thr spot and tried to turn the rx and tx on to try the new motor out. Then I pluged the battery into the esc and then proceeded to turn the tx on, like I always did with my other AR6000. The light usually comes on in about 3 seconds and then everything works. Well, this time the reciever light didnt come on. Figuring that the bind was a dud, I attempted to rebind the rx to the tx. When I set everything up like previously, the rx light flashed for about 2 seconds and then turned off before i had a chance to turn on the tx with the bind button depressed. When the button was depressed it turned offafter about 15 seconds. when let go it would come on solid green.
Then I attempted to start the motor using my other rx the is in another plane I have that is currently flying(it has another AR6000 in it, it came bound to the tx). When I tried to run the motor that rx didnt work either. Now I am really confused. Then I plugged everything back how it was in the firstplace and the rx didnt work.
Now I am stuck with two non-working rx's, one that worked previously and one that is unused. I am currently flightless.
Please help, I am thourougly confused,
