Default RE: 29% Ultimate and Engines

Bill,

It has been a little while since I had my ultimate but I had nothing but good to say bout it. It is one of the best airframes for 3D flying hands down! Consistently I would land in harriers and it slowed down nicely for 3D.

I also flew mine with a 9303. Here are the engines I used on mine:

1. Brison 3.2 = Not enough power, just adequate IMHO
2. FPE 3.2 = Excellent choice and while not the lightest or a DA the plane didn't care. I thought it performed as well as the DA 50.
3. DA 50 = Same as the FPE 3.2 with a slight edge on it in terms of engine response.

For servos I used HS645's in the wings, HS5645's on the elevators, HS5245 throttle (later changed to 5925, and a larger 1/4 scale digital on the rudder. Batteries were all TBM 2 or 3 cell lion packs.

This is how that combination flew:

I think you will enjoy your Ultimate and the attention it gets at the field. Its also a tough little plane as well; I was doing upright to inverted harriers and got a little low down wind and landed in a bush - the plane was fine!
