Pattern is about competing and winning and all that but it's also about sportsmanship, respect and camaraderie. Once you fly in your first contest you will be part of a new family.
That's what I like to hear.
What made you decide to fly Pattern in the first place?
I don't even know how to answer this question. Boring holes in the sky is exactly that...boring. I like a challenge, and from what I gather pattern flying will never not be challenging. I don't know why but 3D just doesn't excite me. Maybe because it's 'unrealistic.' I like that people like 3D flying - most of them are hovering over the runway, out of MY way so I can fly pattern behind and over them. Pattern seems graceful, challenging, freeing...well I don't have to tell you guys! I haven't even seen someone fly pattern except for myself, and I really like watching my plane fly
