Default New accessories

We have several new accessory products that are now available, please take a look.

New Propellers

We have a new line of propellers that are a little different from the standard “Bunny” props. These new wood props are made by the same people out of the same solid beech wood, same excellent quality.

These new props have a progressive pitch, where the pitch at the root is a little greater and the pitch at the tip is a little less. They are graded like a Vess prop with an “A” or “B” pitch. The blade profile is a little different, they have a slight curve in front like a Vess but not as aggressive, sort of halfway between a standard Bunny prop and a Vess.

They seem to run about the same as the Bunny props, and fly about the same. They seem to be slightly quieter and have a bit different sound. They are pretty nice.

I currently have them in 22A, 23A, and 26B sizes. Same price as standard Bunny props.

New Battery offerings

As most of you know I am a big proponent of the A123 lithium nano phosphate batteries. They are very high power, rugged, safe, and do not need regulators for our radios.

We have the traditional 2300mah packs in stock, and we now have a new 1100mah A123 pack that is perfect for smaller planes or as an ignition battery pack.

We have been selling a lot of these packs lately, and now we have 2 chargers available. I can now sell the Cellpro 4S chargers, so I am making available a package deal for those who want to try these packs. For $150 you get one 2300mah pack (plenty of power for any 50cc plane), one smart fly Super-Switch which has heavy duty input and dual outputs, and the Cellpro 4S charger complete with an adapter cable. We even include a charge jack to mount so access to the charge lead is available without removing your plane’s canopy.

We also will have a new charger soon that not only does A123s, but also NIcd/Nimh and lead acid batteries, and will charge at up to 10 amps. This new charger will be $129.

New 100cc twin

I have been experimenting with a new 100cc twin cylinder engine from DZY. It looks and operates exactly like a DA-100, except that it has a cast case and it comes with a set of mufflers. I have several hours on mine now and could not be happier. The engine has been 100% reliable, easy to start, excellent power and extremely smooth.

I would like to find a few customers who would like to purchase/test this new engine. The first few will sell at a very aggressive price, especially if packaged with a plane. We are talking <$1500 for a 35% Extra 300 or Sukhoi with engine and mufflers. Please call me if interested.

New servos

Hitec has replaced their 2 most popular servos with even better ones. The 7985 replaces the 5985 and the 7955 replaces the 5955.

The 7xxx series features much better resolution and accuracy, and the titanium gear 7955 also now puts out the torque that is advertised, 330 oz. in. 5955s, while great servos, in actual testing fell short of their advertised numbers. The 7955s have been tested in real world to meet their specs.

I have not heard anything about the 7985s performance, but resolution has been doubled which will result in smoother more accurate positioning.

The new servos replace their old numbers at the same price, 7985 is $79 and 7955 is $99.
