Default RE: New accessories

Guys:

I echo Tom's pitch about the A123 batteries and the Cellpro 4s. I bought a Wildhare 300 Extra with a DA-50. I have a JR 2.4 ghz system in it with 5 JR8611a high torque servos and two regular digital servos. I put 2300 mah A123 battery packs in it and they last as long as I wish to fly. I do this all without a voltage regulator. I charge them and re-charge them in 5-10 minutes. I bought the Cellpro 4s and I'm very pleased with it. What surprises me is how many of my fellow flyers are still unaware of the A123 technology. A123 is better than lipo or lion systems that I have heard of, it is safer than any lipo or lion, holds a good and constant voltage, and charges in 5-10 minutes. The only downside is that you cannot tell when the voltage will run out and drops but in test conducted by R/Cr's, they have flown 12 to 15 flights before this happens so the secret is to recharge them at intervals less than 10 flights. I usually charge my A123 after 5 flights and find that they only used 15-20% of their capacity.
