Poenix Models See Bee
First thing done was installing the Ail servos. They mount to a hatch that is then mounted to the wing with 4 screws. The Big Sig Cap 321 mount the same way so I see no worries about this holding up. I will have to get longer servo arms though. The instructions have been pretty good so far. I did notice they say to use a hobby knife to remove covering in several places. Inclding where the stab and fin meet the fuse. I always heat up the soldering iron and melt the covering where they tell you to cut. That way the wood is not scored by the knife.
The wing/dihedral brace was a decent fit. One side was a little sloppy, but filled with epoxy just fine. I stuck 2 steel rod through the wing hold down bolt holes and wrapped rubber bands around them to pull the aft end tight. Then used a quick clamp on the alignment dowls. The center ribs were a near perfect fit, I had to sand the aft area just a hair to get full contact.
I measured out the stab, i will get that glued in the morning before work I hope.
I still hate that pilot!!! Looks like a Gay Lumberjack. ( Not that being a Gay Lumberjack is a bad thing, just don't want a pilot that looks like one!!)
