Default First flight with Mini Pulse XT

Wow! [sm=shades_smile.gif] ... all I can say is WOW!
Ok, I'll say more...

I just came off a disappointing end to my Super Sportster EP. They should call it "UP" (under powered).
It never really was the plane I was hoping for, but the Mini Pulse XT sure is!

I purchased the PNP kit that came with servos and the 450 park motor/22A ESC.
I ran it bone stock (used the 10x7 slow fly prop) and was amazed at how spirited it was.
The only change from the suggested set up, was that I used a 2200mah vs. the suggested 2100mah lipo and I left the wheel pants off.

I was thrilled by how quickly it got into the air and how well it climbed. With a 3-4mph head wind, it practicaly leaped into the air!
After a few minor control tweaks, it was tracking straight and flying at a comfortable speed with just half throttle.
I did 4 short flights and landed it in the grass 3 times and once on pavement with out the wheel pants on.
The battery seemed to have enough juice for a couple more, but I went ahead and put her up.
I tried a couple loops, rolls, and hammer heads just to get a feel for her and it handled very nicely.
It landed great too. It glided in and tracked so well, I just can't get over it!
The only problem I had was that it didn't roll very straight, but that will improve with practice and a couple minor adjustments.

When I bought it yesterday, I almost bought the ARF version and a Park 480 motor.
I'm glad I didn't. The 450 is plenty for me right now but I'll look at getting a 480 down the road.

Would any of you suggest running an APC "E" prop vs. the SF-slow fly?
What differences could I expect by running an E prop?

Mini Pulse XT ROCKS!!!! [sm=thumbup.gif][sm=lol.gif][sm=wink_smile.gif][sm=teeth_smile.gif][sm=biggrin.gif]
