Tim,

As others mentioned, you need to have the tail of the helicopter facing you. So that left is left, right is right, etc.
I did notice in your video that the blade tracking on your helicopter was right on the money. Excellent! Tail motors on the Blade have a short life span, so stock up and get a few of them. Your heli-pad has something to be desired. Get a 1/4 inch plywood and make it to suite ya. 3x3 or 4x4 foot. I have a hand hold carrying grip on mine. LMAO..
Hovering is important, it teaches you how to use and control the stick movements. It trains the mind and reflexes to work together. Kinda like driving a car, at first you had to always work at it, know it's just reflexes. You don't even think about it. You just re-act.

Takes time, just be patient. We've all been down the same road, I couldn't tell you how long it was before I felt comfortable with the heli. Close to a year.
