Default RE: Jet Legend F/A-22 Raptor build thread

Hi John,
I didn’t use the hinges that came with the kit; I used the large Robart pin hinges and added one to the stock setup.

The servos I used for the rudders: JR 3421's.

3421: Specs

Type: Mini Digital
Torque: 65 oz/in @ 4.8V, 75 oz/in @ 6V
Speed: .18 sec/60° @ 4.8V, .15 sec/60° @ 6V
Dimensions (WxLxH): 0.58 x 1.30 x 1.02
Weight: 1.04 oz
Bearing: Dual ball bearing output
Motor Type: Coreless

The JR 3421 will fit in the stock rudder location without any mods. Make sure there is no slop in the linkage, I used thread lock on the clevis' and jam nuts.
So far no signs of flutter.

You can also search for "Pyolet" aka Woody, he has a really good build thread also. His rudder method uses JR 8411's mounted in the fuse, this is really a powerful setup!

I really think the P160 is over kill, but really recommend that you replace the Jetlegend pipe for Tam's. The JL's is thin and is really safe to use for a P80 size turbine.
I’m using the Titan SE, (34 pounds) the Titan has more then enough power for this jet.

Don't know of anyone flying without gear doors, but again would recommend it? Gear doors help keep the fuse internal pressure down when flying at high speeds, also they look really cool!

Good luck,
Chris
