I am a GM tech at a dealership.I do not smoke.There is no smoking allowed in the shop,but some techs still do it.
I hate having to deal with second hand smoke.I have told other techs,if you come into MY work area smoking,I will put it out for you
or you can.If they want to smoke in their area,fine,I will not go over there.Had a tech come into my area smoking,I told him,leave or put it out or I will put it out for you.He says yea right.So I calmly go over to my bench and grab the water hose with a sprayer and put it
out for him while he is puffing on it.Yea he got pissed,but he does not come into my work area smoking anymore.Neither does anyone else.
.If I go flying and someone comes up to me smoking,I just walk away from them.In the pits or when I am flying.
If they want to smoke,fine,but don't come up to me and smoke around me.Smokers want respect.I,as a non-smoker,want respect also.
