Default RE: Hobby Warehouse

I woudn't jump to any conclusions about a store or why its closing, including this one. I'm sure some people may have had a bad experience shopping there. Its no different than getting bad produce at a grocery store or having bad service at a McDonalds. If I have bad service at a store, I don't go there again. I don't bad mouth it in public forums but that's me. I will not say that doing otherwise is bad. To each his (or her) own.

I will say this: As a surprise, my wife went into Sky Hobbies with a JR321 servo that I had to get me another (I was short one for a project). She knows very little about R/C and they could have very easily taken advantage of her. Instead, they informed her that the 321s were an older servo and, while they could get them, they would be very expensive. They found a metal-geared Hitec that had the same dimensions as the 321 and was cheaper than the 321 but had the same torque and was slightly faster. She was happy. I was happy. I had always had good service from them but, the fact that she could go in there and not get fleeced, that made me respect them more. Say what you will, I had good luck with Sky Hobbies.

I have also had good luck with Hub Hobbies as well. My issue with Hub is that they don't have the selection I am looking for. But the service has been great with them and they will order in anything I need.
