but now mobile phones are becoming such a necessity, everyone at school uses them sending texts during lessons and when you are outside it seems like the middle of wall street! everyones on their phones (including me)
No they are not a necessity...eveyone just seems to think they are...If you didn't have a way to keep in 24-7 contact with some one what do you think would happen???

heaven forbid kids pick up a book to entertain themselves
That statement proves why kids don't learn at school, testing during class when they should be PAYING ATTENTION to class.
