Producing your products overseas is hardly news and nothing to get excited about. Whether it is necessarily a bad thing depends on your politics.
Its one thing if their factory is overseas, but its another if the company BUYS the same product that some other company uses... and then calls it their own. XTM and Trinity are famous for it.
Its really not that uncommon for manufactureres to sell the same truck under different brands. Even Associated did it with their Mini Monster GT 3.0, it was actually originally a Thunder Tiger product. The Duratrax Vendetta is made by Anderson and sold under several different brands.

Traxxas actually sold the tmaxx design to smartech. Wow... what are you trying to say in your last sentence cuz it makes no sense. If you are saying they copied the grizzly, you really have no place in rc! The Smartech Bigfoot has been around LONGER than XTMs "grizzly".
Thats actually not true, Traxxas did not sell their design to smartech. That was a 100% copy. Feel free to check the traxxas forums or call them yourself.
There are some legit shared platforms and some chinese copies such as the HPI 5B copies and the smartech t-maxx clone.
Just for your info Thunder tiger ownes Team Associated and makes all the Monster trucks for team associated. Team associated is a thunder tiger product.
