Default RE: H9 Sundowner

wow if that aint deja vu, i dont know what is. someone else on this thread had broken at the fuse at the exact same spot. On my SD, i had a prop strike from a nose-over on taxiing that was SO LIGHT, it didnt even stall the motor OR break the prop but managed to snap the motor mount box like a twig, ruining the integrity of the entire fuse and forcing me to buy a new stab since they were epoxied. Horizon said it was the result of a crash, i beg to differ. They couldnt do anything for me they said. Wasnt even looking for a freebie, maybe theyd go half or sumthin with me but wouldnt and pretty much told me to piss off and "build one" (motor mount box) but didnt recommend it since the added weight and modified integrity would be dangerous. SOOOOO, my next plane purchase was a Great Planes Revolver, instead of the H9 Corsair Ive been wanting. Great Planes makes some pretty good ARF's i am learning and have treated me like a top tier customer when i contacted them. H9's quality, IMHO, has taken a huge DUMP in the past few years. Seems they are more worried about quantity rather than quality. Just my thoughts and opinions. When my SD flew, man was she pretty. This plane ALWAYS was horrible to taxi on grass with the worst nose over tendency. Sorry guys, i for one despise posters who rip into manufacturers too, but i gotta tell yas, im not impressed with H9 AT All lately. They DO make some of the coolest, neatest, bestest (is that even a word) planes, but quality HAS dropped and customer service, TO ME, has suffered as well. Take it with a grain of salt, and by all means dont let me sway you, but this is how i was "dealt with" lately.
